‘The Scent Geeks’ is a weekly fragrance podcast comprising news, reviews and banter from the world of perfume. Brought to you by the brilliant double act that is YouTube fragrance reviewers Chris Wilkinson (FRAG-MENTAL) and Steve Ward (Frags to Riches).
TSG is humbly presented, easy to listen to and never boring. A light and funny show that’s also thought-provoking and incisive, offering frag-chat as well as talk of everyday life. There’s a little something for everyone here: from general fragrance community discussions to bottle recommendations and breakdowns.
Each episode opens with a look back to the week before, as Chris and Steve reel off what fragrances they’ve been wearing and who’s donated to the show. Like many podcasts, TSG is free to listen to, but can be supported financially for a small fee. Throw a little moolah their way and you’ll almost certainly get a shout-out in return 😉
Next come the “listener questions”. The part of the show where Chris and Steve work through questions asked in TSG’s Facebook group and provide answers to them. This sets the scene nicely for the final section of the podcast – and possibly my favourite bit – “Scentnario”. A question and answer game inviting users to dream up weird and wonderful situations for wearing fragrance. Chris and Steve then have the fun – if not difficult – job of recommending specific fragrances for those situations.
